WKY Polar Plunge & Polar 5k

The Plunge works just like a walk-a-thon with Polar Bears raising a “bear” minimum of $75 ($50 for Junior Polar Bears, those between the ages of six and 18) to earn the right to plunge. Every Polar Bear receives an official Polar Plunge T-shirt and Polar Bear Club Certificate, but participants who raise more money can earn even better rewards. New this year is the Polar Triple Crown Challenge! The challenge consists of participants completing three challenges: 1) Polar 5k, 2) the traditional “Jump-In” from a dock, and 3) New this year, a “Run-In” from the old beach area. However, as always, participants can also choose to do just one of any of the aforementioned events.
