About the Speaker:
Damon Young is proud to serve as Chief Business Officer at the Kansas Leadership Center. His primary duties include overseeing the finance, development, and communications teams. Damon collaborates in key areas of strategy and mission, and is a sought after member of the KLC Speaker’s Bureau where he inspires communities, associations, universities, and industries to apply the KLC ideas where they work and live. Leadership is the necessary means to the end of personal and community transformation for Damon and he continually seeks to empower others to see themselves as instruments of change for the common good.
An active member of the civic and business communities in Kansas, Damon was the 2022 Chair of the Wichita Regional Chamber of Commerce. Damon was a collegiate all-American debate champion and maintains a strong commitment to building greater civic trust through civil discourse. His degree is in Organizational Management and Leadership from Friends University where he serves on the President’s Advisory Council.
Damon has been happily married for more than 20 years and has five children ranging in age from young adult to elementary school. In his spare time Damon enjoys taking long walks, reading, listening to podcasts, writing poetry and playing basketball.
