Murray State Athletics and the CFSB Center are proud to announce that The Voice Winner and Kentucky Native, Jordan Smith, will bring his talents to the CFSB Center on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The concert is being organized by KentuckyCare as part of their Hope, Healing, & Restore Concert Series. "We are excited to bring Jordan to Murray and be a resource for KentuckyCare to spread their message helping our Kentucky Communities," Brock Rydecki, Assistant Athletic Director for Operations states. "This will be a fun night at the CFSB Center! Greg Frey, Director of Operations, has worked diligently with reps from KentuckyCare and this relationship will continue to bring multiple events to the CFSB Center through their organization." Smith is an American singer, songwriter, and musician from Harlan, Kentucky. Smith began singing in his church choir and continued through his college education at Lee University. In 2015 he gained national recognition when he won season 9 of the singing competition The Voice. During his time on The Voice he was the show's 1st artist of the season to reach number one in sales of pop songs in the iTunes Store, and set new sales marks on Billboard charts. In 2022, he represented Kentucky on the American Song Contest with the song, "Sparrow", finishing 3rd place.
