Event Description:
On Saturday, May 10th, the Murray Middle School Band holds its sixteenth JAZZ IN THE PARK in the Central Park amphitheatre from noon until 8:00 pm. This annual event annual jazz festival was created as a performing venue for school jazz groups from around the area. This year we will have groups from McCracken Co., Paducah Middle School. Graves Co., Marshall Co., and of course Murray High School and Murray Middle School to perform in this comfortable atmosphere of appreciative parents, community members and fellow students. This year?s featured headliner group is one of our all time favorites ? The Todd Hill Orchestra. You can enjoy some of our area?s most talented players performing the traditional sounds of the greats such as Glenn Miller, the Dorsey Brothers, Les Brown, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Woody Herman. There is no admission fee ? just bring your lawn chair or blanket and come enjoy the music.
