Calloway County Cluster of United Methodist Churches 5th Sunday Rally

The Calloway County Cluster of United Methodist Churches will come together at Mason's Chapel UMC for 5th Sunday Rally on Sunday, August 31 at 6pm. We will have our usual offering that now goes toward our Live Nativity in December. In the spirit of mission and ministry, each congregation is asked to come with a short 3-5minute(please respect this time limit) story/presentation/sharing about some mission that your congregation is excited about and participating in. Then any representatives of that congregation can bring 1 special song or choose 1 song for the entire gathering to sing together. Joe and Jeannine Cauthen of Mason's Chapel UMC will be traveling to Kenyi in South Sudan in late September. The church has built an orphanage there and is hoping to dig two wells. Those attending 5th Sunday Rally can participate in this mission by bringing these specific school supplies for the children there: *Pencils (plain old #2, not mechanical) *Erasers(hand held, not the ones that go on top of pencils) *Small boxes of crayons(8-10 per box at most, smaller is fine) *Rulers *Pencil Sharpeners(one piece sharpeners only, not the kind that holds shavings.) The hope is that this 5th Sunday Rally will inform and inspire us as we hear of the different ministries that each of our congregations are participating in.
