Learn the whole process of weaving on a 4 harness floor loom --from winding warp and dressing the loom to weaving and finishing your project! Saori weaving is a free style approach to weaving with no rules using a variety of different types of materials, developed in Japan by Misao Jo in the mid-1900s. We will have a variety of yarns in different sizes & colors, ribbons, fabrics & wool roving for you to play and experiment with your weaving. Your piece can be finished as a wall hanging or table runner or you can keep it as a sampler.
This class is suited for ultimate beginners! A microwave and fridge is available if you want to bring a lunch either day, or there will be time to come & go for lunch if you like. Sunday times can be flexible with anyone who needs to come late &/or stay late. Looms can also be worked on the week after class if you need to finish.
