The annual Harry M. Sparks Distinguished Lecture Series, hosted by Murray State University's College of Education and Human Services, will take place Friday, March 18th, from 4-8 PM in the Alexander Hall auditorium (room 240). This year's event will include a presentation of awards, including the Outstanding Educator Award, the Outstanding Service Leadership Award, and the Dr. Charles and Marlene Johnson Outstanding Education Faculty Award. Furthermore, Cory Notestine will join us as featured speaker for the event. Mr. Notestine served as school counselor at Alamosa High School in Alamosa, CO, and was named the 2015 School Counselor of the Year by the American School Counselor Association. He is anticipated to bring a unique and powerful perspective with regards to the role of school counselors and the impact of promoting career readiness in schools.
